MINT BLOG

I’m from Humenne, which is a small town on the east of Slovakia. My relationship with art was visible since my childhood. One day, I came into contact with graffiti and since then I’ve been heavily influenced by the whole culture. My previous education in Slovakia wasn’t art related, so Graffiti was the only form of art I did that time.

After I moved to Manchester and worked here for three years. I decided to start study again. I did my B-TEC foundation diploma in art and design at Manchester College and successfully finished with a distinction from my final major project.

Then, I started to study a Foundation degree course in New Media Design at Manchester College.
During my two years on the course, I generated many useful design and life skills. I’ve been introduced to the world of animation, graphic and web design.
Currently, I am a student on 2nd year of study on the BA(Hons) Design for Digital Media Course at Salford University.

I’m an energetic person full of creative ideas. I strive for perfection in every aspect of my life.I have a big passion for creating moving image and really enjoy designing opening sequences and end credits.
I specialize in Motion graphics and 3D design. My technical knowledge of software applications such as : After Effects, 3dsMAX, Illustrator and Photoshop is of a high standard.

OPENING SEQUENCE 2nd draft

The opening sequence was inspired by the title sequence from film Sherlock Holmes. I found a very useful tutorial on AE-TUTS, on how to create similar effect. For those who are interested (http://ae.tutsplus.com/tutorials/motion-graphics/discover-how-to-recreate-the-sherlock-holmes-end-credits-effect/) ENJOY.

Development:

I had to go to town and make video footage of the Shakespeare hotel staircase, because I wanted to re-enact the case. I also had to do one video of the Sunlight house, because I didn’t like the video footage from my client.

When I had all my videos imported in the AE, I had to render each frame from the shot, then import it into PS and create graphic images from the rendered image. I had to make separate layer for each reveal effect, for example: building, backgrounds, stains, splatters and text.
